Outpatient Therapy
Outpatient therapy services to families, children, and adolescents. These therapy sessions are helpful for individuals looking to clarify and set their goals as well as learn the proper techniques and strategies to accomplish them. This also includes developing strategies to help them overcome challenges and difficulties in their personal lives.
These sessions can be performed over telehealth or at one of our locations. All therapy sessions are performed by a licensed mental health professional (LPC or LCSW) or under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional (LMHP). Sessions are held according to a schedule determined by the therapist and the individual. There are no qualifications for this service and it is covered under most insurance plans, Virginia Medicaid, or can be self-paid.
Specific outpatient therapy services offered include:
- Individual, family, couples, group therapy.
- Assessment and diagnostics.
- Evaluations and recommendations for behavioral health treatment.
- Parent training.
- Assistance with development of behavior modification plans.
- Assisting with helping family members understand the special education process.
- Care coordination.
An individual can be referred to our outpatient therapy services program through self-referral, community organizations, physicians, family, friends, therapists/psychiatrists, foster care agencies, school (staff, administrators, teachers, or counselors), and the Department of Social Services.
