23-Hour Crisis Stabilization
23-Hour Crisis Stabilization is a program that consists of a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals providing treatment services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The program provides an ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, and a clinical determination of the appropriate level of care for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Services are provided for a period of up to 23 hours in a community or center-based setting. Services are accessible 24/7 and allow individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis to be in a safe environment for observation and assessment.
Services are provided to individuals who have urgent behavioral health needs including but not limited to:
- Significant emotional dysregulation
- Disordered thought processes
- Substance use and intoxication resulting in behavioral crisis and environmentally de-stabilizing events
Services include, but are not limited to:
- Individualized treatment planning
- Individual and family therapy
- Nursing on-site 24/7
- Skill restoration/development
- Health literacy counseling
- Psycho-educational interventions
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Crisis intervention
- Care coordination
